The company was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. On September 29, 2023, SmileDirectClub, Inc. along with its affiliates, filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
