The company was formerly known as Torii Shoten K.K and changed its name to Torii Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in May 1949. The company was founded in 1872 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Torii Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Japan Tobacco Inc.
