TPEI seeks to provide the inverse (-3x) return of the VettaFi Taiwan Equity Fund-Tracking Index. This index tracks the performance of the iShares MSCI Taiwan ETF (NYSE Arca: EWT) and provides exposure to the large- and mid-capitalization segments of the Taiwanese equity market. As an inverse product, TPEI is not a buy-and-hold investment and should not be expected to provide the inverse index return over periods greater than one day. Over longer periods, compounding effects can lead to profound differences in expected returns relative to the index.
