The company was formerly known as Nissan Shatai Koki Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Nissan Shatai Co., Ltd. in June 1971. The company was founded in 1937 and is headquartered in Hiratsuka, Japan. Nissan Shatai Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.
