SCSB builds a short-duration fixed income portfolio primarily composed of investment grade securities, including corporate bonds, government and agency securities, mortgage- and asset-backed securities, and collateralized loan obligations. The strategy maintains a duration range of one to three years, balancing income generation with interest rate sensitivity. Portfolio construction follows a top-down approach, with allocation decisions driven by macroeconomic views on interest rates, inflation, and yield curve dynamics, alongside relative value assessments across sectors. Security selection incorporates detailed fundamental analysis, evaluating issuer financial strength and structural features such as call provisions, prepayment risk, and embedded options. The fund may also incorporate limited exposure to high yield and non-US securities, as well as derivatives for hedging or efficient exposure. The fund converted from a mutual fund to an ETF with approximately $33 million in assets.
