DWWN is an actively managed ETF designed to generate current income, with a secondary goal of capital appreciation, during periods of falling US interest rates. The fund mainly invests in US Treasury STRIPS (Separate Trading of Registered Interest and Principal of Securities). These instruments are created by separating a Treasury security's interest payments from its principal. The detached interest components are sold individually as zero-interest securities, while the principal is redeemed at par upon maturity. While the fund is not managed to a specific maturity, it targets an average portfolio duration within around 10% of its benchmark index, which focuses on maturities exceeding 20 years. The fund may also hold other US Treasury securities. To manage duration and pursue tactical positioning, the fund utilizes derivatives. The funds strategy may result in frequent and active trading.
