The underlying index itself typically holds around 90 companies drawn from the wider S&P SmallCap 600, specifically those identified as having strong combined scores for both quality and value, based on its proprietary selection rules. Both the ETF and its tracking index undergo adjustments twice a year, with rebalancing taking place after the market closes on the third Friday in June and December.
