The fund invests in public equity markets of the United States. It invests in stocks of companies operating across energy, oil, gas and consumable fuels, oil and gas exploration and production sectors. It invests in growth and value stocks of companies across diversified market capitalization. It seeks to track the performance of the Dow Jones U.S. Select Oil Exploration & Production Index, by using representative sampling technique. iShares Trust - iShares U.S. Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF was formed on May 1, 2006 and is domiciled in the United States.
