KPO is an actively managed ETF seeking long-term capital appreciation by combining synthetic equity exposure, options strategies, and systematic hedging. The fund targets 100% notional exposure each to both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 indices through monthly out-of-the-money call options, meaning each $1 invested provides about $1 of index exposure, which magnifies both gains and losses. Quarterly put spreads combining bought and sold put options at different strike prices serve as a hedge. While the fund seeks to limit significant losses, it remains possible. To generate options premiums, the fund sells both covered and uncovered put options. While options may generate gains in rising markets, losses can still occur in declining markets despite hedging. The fund may also invest in other ETFs and individual securities. The fund holds collateral, such as Treasury bills, money market funds, and cash equivalents. The fund may engage in securities lending.
