Alibaba Expands Global E-Commerce Ambitions with Strategic Moves in Cross-Border Trade and Free Shipping
Recently, Alibaba has taken a significant step in expanding its cross-border e-commerce operations with the establishment of Hangzhou Yilu Fafa Cross-Border E-Commerce Co., Ltd. The company, led by legal representative Zhang Jingjing, has a registered capital of 1 million RMB. Its business scope encompasses internet sales, supply chain management services, corporate management consulting, information consulting services, and the sale of smart home consumer devices. Notably, the company is wholly owned by Alibaba (China) Network Technology Co., Ltd.

Meanwhile, in a related development, Taobao has announced a major upgrade to its global free shipping initiative, which previously focused exclusively on the apparel sector. This initiative, now rebranded as the "Taobao Tmall Global Growth Plan," has been expanded to include all industries. Under this new strategy, Taobao Tmall will be responsible for recruiting merchants across various sectors, while Alibaba International will manage overseas logistics and user operations. The platform will also offer subsidies for overseas shipping costs, allowing international consumers to enjoy free shipping on their purchases.
Furthermore, this strategic shift marks a significant move by Taobao as it seeks to broaden its international reach. The "Taobao Tmall Global Growth Plan" is now open to merchants from all industries, building on the success of the initial apparel-focused "Global Free Shipping Plan" launched in mid-July. By offering comprehensive support in logistics and providing shipping subsidies, Alibaba aims to help merchants tap into overseas markets more effectively, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for global consumers.
Alibaba's stock price has fallen 72.95% from its all-time high, but it is now showing potential to break through the previous resistance level of $86.9. With positive adjustments to its business operations, Alibaba is expected to overcome multiple resistance levels and continue its upward trend. If it surpasses $86.9, the next strong resistance levels to watch are $101.95 and $126.65. #BABA #Stock #Invest
