Apple Launched Products with AI Features and M4 Chips

Apple officially released iOS 18.1 on Monday, bringing the first Apple Intelligence functions to iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16. It is reported that the first Apple Intelligence functions include system-wide tools that optimize user text input to improve the writing quality, a program that organizes the album files to optimize storage space through automatic identification, intelligent identification that generates APP notification summaries to help users get to key information, and enhanced voice assistants with more accurate information.

 

 

The new Apple Intelligence feature will be launched in December. Other features will be launched in the coming months. It is widely expected that the upcoming batch of Apple Intelligence features will be more exciting because they include the integration of ChatGPT into Siri's service and the image generation tool that can compete with Google.

 

Apple used the release of Apple Intelligence features to market the iPhone 16 series and answer Wall Street's questions about its AI strategy. Unlike other large competitors that have invested billions of dollars in developing cloud-based AI systems powered by Nvidia chips, the Apple Intelligence feature will run through chips on the hardware side, meaning that Apple hardware such as iPhones, iPads, and iMacs needs to be upgraded to run Apple Intelligence features.

 

Some investors believed Apple Intelligence would drive a major upgrade cycle and sustain Apple's leadership in the daily use of cutting-edge artificial intelligence. Wamsi Mohan, an analyst at Bank of America, said that they expected demand for iPhones to rise after the first release of Apple Intelligence in late October, given the staggered release of the Apple Intelligence feature.

 

Meanwhile, Apple also unveiled a new iMac with an M4 chip whose price was $1,299. It will be launched on November 8th. Apple said the latest iMac would be 1.7 times faster than the M1 chip in the 2021 iMac. Its graphics processing speed increased by 2.1 times times. It was six times faster than older iMacs with Intel chips. The new iMacs also came with an enhanced neural network engine for handling artificial intelligence tasks. With operating systems such as macOS Sequoia 15.1 and iPadOS 18.1 which were released together on Monday, devices with the M4 chip could start using the new Apple Intelligence features.
