Musk Announces Grok-3, Early Access via X, Open-Source Release Planned
Elon Musk officially unveiled Grok-3, stating that both Grok-3 and Grok-3 Mini outperform or match competitors like Gemini, DeepSeek, and ChatGPT in multiple benchmarks. Users who pre-order through X will get priority access to the new models.
Musk noted that while efforts are underway to bring Grok-3 to the App Store, compliance requirements may delay its availability. Meanwhile, the latest models will always launch first on the web, with a dedicated platform now available at Grok.com for user access.
Having personally tested Grok-3, Musk praised its strong mathematical reasoning and confirmed that further enhancements would be introduced within a week. He also reiterated their approach to open-sourcing, stating that previous-generation models would be made available a few months after each new release.
