U.S. House Passes Republican Budget Resolution to Advance Trump Administration Priorities

 

On February 25 (local time), the U.S. House of Representatives passed a Republican budget resolution with a narrow 217-215 vote. The resolution serves as a blueprint for advancing President Donald Trump’s domestic policy agenda, including tax code revisions, stricter immigration policies, and new energy resource development. The measure now moves to the Senate for a vote. Once approved, it will guide Congress in determining the federal budget for fiscal year 2025 and setting budget levels for 2026 to 2034.
