On the morning of February 26, Xiaomi founder, Chairman, and CEO Lei Jun stated on Weibo that the team is highly confident in the upcoming Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. “The product is extremely competitive, and we are 90% certain of reaching our annual sales target of 10,000 units.”

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra opened for pre-orders in November 2024 with a pre-sale price of HK$814,900. According to official data, the model received 3,680 orders within the first 10 minutes of pre-sales.

Xiaomi recently confirmed that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Xiaomi SU7 Ultra launch event is set for February 27. Lei Jun described these models as Xiaomi’s most premium products in its 15-year history, marking the company’s push into the ultra-high-end market.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is a high-performance all-electric luxury sedan, which Lei Jun claims is comparable to Porsche in performance, rivals Tesla in technology, and matches BBA in luxury. The model features a three-motor system with a total output of 1,548 horsepower, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds. It has already set lap records for four-door production cars on four domestic race tracks.

Amid anticipation for the launch event, Xiaomi’s stock (01810.HK) surged nearly 6% this morning, hitting a new all-time high, with its market capitalization surpassing HK$1.41 trillion.
