Stock Market
The three major US stock indexes closed higher collectively on the 2nd. As of the close of the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 42,225.32 points, up 0.56%; the S&P 500 stock index rose 37.90 points to close at 5,670.97 points, up 0.67%; the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 151.16 points to close at 17,601.05 points, up 0.87%.
On April 2 local time, Trump announced a comprehensive tariff rate of 10%, which will take effect in the early morning of April 5, but higher additional tariffs have been imposed on many countries. Affected by this, the three major US stock index futures fell after the market.
Most large technology stocks rose. $TSLA rose by more than 5%, $AMZN rose by 2%, and $NVDA , $AAPL , and $NFLX rose slightly; Microsoft, Google, Meta, and Intel fell slightly.
