Top 20 in US stock trading volume: NVIDIA Reclaims Global Market Cap Leadership
On Tuesday, Tesla ranked first in US stock trading volumes, closing 0.46% higher at 344.27 with a trading volume of $34.264 billion. White House Press Secretary Levitt stated that Elon Musk's criticism "will not change" President Trump's support for the large-scale tax and spending bill.
It is reported that Musk posted on a social media platform that day that the massive bill is "ridiculous and full of political manipulation." Musk claimed that the bill would balloon the budget deficit to $2.5 trillion, burdening American citizens with unsustainable debt.
Musk had previously criticized the bill, stating that Trump's "Beautiful Big Bill" undermines his cost-cutting efforts at the Government Efficiency Department and would increase the budget deficit. Russell Vought, Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), responded to these remarks by saying the bill would not increase the deficit or harm the debt.
NVIDIA ranked second, closing 2.80% higher with a trading volume of $31.517 billion. As of Tuesday's close, NVIDIA's market capitalization reached $3,445.768 billion, surpassing Microsoft and Apple to become the US-listed company with the largest market capitalization.
Jefferies named the chipmaker its top pick on Tuesday and predicted its profit margin could reach as high as 80% this year. Jefferies analyst Blayne Curtis added NVIDIA to the investment bank's "highest conviction" stock list, noting that the capacity ramp of the new-generation Blackwell chip is a key driver. He believes the surging demand for Blackwell chips will significantly boost margin expansion.
Additionally, a research report noted that NVIDIA's price-to-earnings growth ratio (PEG) is less than 0.9, the lowest among the "Magnificent Seven" tech stocks, including Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Tesla, and Meta Platforms.
Palantir ranked third, closing 0.86% higher with a trading volume of $11.991 billion. Recent reports indicate that the Trump administration is relying on Palantir to build the technological foundation for its executive order requiring data sharing among federal agencies.
Broadcom ranked sixth, closing 3.27% higher at an all-time high with a trading volume of $7.703 billion. A senior executive of the company revealed that the Tomahawk 6 switch chip, regarded as the "heart of the AI network," began deliveries over the weekend. The first batch of customers includes global leading cloud service providers and network equipment manufacturers, with a full launch into the data center market scheduled for July.
The executive said many Broadcom customers have lined up to use Tomahawk 6 to build and run systems containing more than 100,000 GPUs.
JPMorgan's latest report shows that Broadcom, with its dominance in the AI ASIC and network semiconductor markets, is poised to achieve AI business revenue of $19 billion to $20 billion in fiscal 2025, a year-on-year increase of over 60%, in line with the company's three-year service addressable market (SAM) compound annual growth rate (CAGR) target of 60%-65%. JPMorgan gave a 12-month target price of $250 and maintained an "overweight" rating.
CoreWeave ranked eighth, closing 25.19% higher at an all-time high with a trading volume of $7.345 billion. The NVIDIA-backed cloud computing software service provider signed a long-term data center lease agreement with Applied Digital on Monday.
HIMS ranked 11th, closing 3.59% lower with a trading volume of $6.715 billion.
Strategy (MSTR) ranked 12th, closing 4.07% higher with a trading volume of $4.354 billion. US cryptocurrency concept stocks rose on Tuesday. Bitcoin rose over 0.8% to $106,608; Ethereum rose over 2.2% to $2,643.
Robinhood ranked 18th, closing 5.50% higher at an all-time high with a trading volume of $3.063 billion. The company has officially completed its $200 million acquisition of Bitstamp, bringing one of the world's longest-running cryptocurrency exchanges under its umbrella. This marks a strategic shift from retail trading to institutional trading.
The all-cash deal, first announced last year, gives Robinhood immediate international reach—including more than 50 valid cryptocurrency licenses in Europe, the UK, and Asia—and a mature institutional client base, which the retail trading platform has long lacked.
Netflix ranked 20th, closing 0.09% lower with a trading volume of $2.86 billion. Jefferies raised its price target on the company from $1,200 to $1,400 on Tuesday.
