Top 20 US Stock Trading Volumes: Amazon Plans to Invest Over $20 Billion in Pennsylvania to Drive AI Innovation
On Monday, Tesla ranked first in US stock trading volume, closing up 4.55% with a trading volume of $40.021 billion. US President Trump hinted on Monday that he might sell his Tesla shares. He also stated that he has not considered talking to Musk, but Musk might want to talk to him.
Morgan Stanley maintains a price target of $410.00 per share for Tesla.
The second place, NVIDIA, closed up 0.64% with a trading volume of $26.363 billion. NVIDIA reached an AI infrastructure deal in the UK. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang praised the UK's AI talent as "the envy of the world," specifically mentioning the country's researchers, universities, and startups. However, he also noted that the UK needs more infrastructure to unlock the potential of this talent.
The third place, Palantir, closed up 3.40% with a trading volume of $9.618 billion. Palantir CEO Alex Karp said on Friday that artificial intelligence will bring significant risks, and the eventual winner of the current AI arms race can only be one of two major powers. He stated, "This technology will have both positive and negative consequences," but there can only be one winner.
He also denied allegations that the company helps the US government "monitor American citizens."
The fifth place, Amazon, closed up 1.60% with a trading volume of $8.189 billion. The company announced on Monday plans to invest over $20 billion in Pennsylvania, USA, to expand cloud computing infrastructure and advance AI innovation.
According to a press release, this investment is expected to create at least 1,250 new high-skilled jobs locally, covering multiple technical roles such as data center engineers, network specialists, engineering operations managers, and security experts.
Amazon said Salem Township and Falls Township in Pennsylvania are the first communities selected to build future innovation parks. The company’s new investment in the region will also drive thousands of additional jobs in Amazon AWS’s data center supply chain.
The seventh place, AMD, closed up 4.77% with a trading volume of $6.627 billion. Citi raised its price target for AMD from $100 to $120 on Monday.
The ninth place, stablecoin issuer Circle Internet Group, closed up 7.01% with a trading volume of $5.429 billion. The company went public on the New York Stock Exchange at $69.5 per share last Thursday (10 million more shares issued than originally planned) and has risen for three consecutive trading days since, with a current market capitalization of $25.648 billion.
The IPO issued a total of 34 million shares, successfully raising $1.1 billion with the final offering price exceeding the initial range due to strong demand.
The tenth place, Google Class A shares, closed up 1.51% with a trading volume of $5.067 billion. Google announced the launch of the memory-optimized machine series COMPUTE ENGINE M4 on Monday, the most powerful memory-optimized virtual machines with memory under 6TB.
The twelfth place, CoreWeave, closed up 15.65% with a trading volume of $4.582 billion and a market capitalization of $77.8 billion. The stock has accumulated a gain of over 25% last week.
The thirteenth place, Strategy, closed up 4.71% with a trading volume of $4.153 billion.
The sixteenth place, Applovin, closed down 8.21% with a trading volume of $3.058 billion. On Monday, S&P Dow Jones Indices announced in its latest quarterly review that the S&P 500 index constituents will remain unchanged, with no additions or deletions. This means Robinhood Securities, Applovin, and others were not included in the index as market expected.
Citi Group’s chief strategist noted that the rise of passive investing has magnified the market impact of index adjustments, and companies that failed to be included may face short-term capital outflows.
The nineteenth place, Intuitive Surgical, closed down 5.55% with a trading volume of $2.489 billion. Financial data shows that as of March 31, 2025, Intuitive Surgical had total revenue of $2.253 billion (up 19.19% year-on-year); net profit attributable to shareholders was $698 million (up 28.17% year-on-year).
