While the broader market hesitated, newly public Circle continued its hot streak, surging 20% to $240 (from an IPO price of $31), a 6.7x gain since its June 5 debut. Its market cap hit $53.4 billion, roughly 383.8 billion RMB. $CRCL
The early “pop” at the open came from Fed Governor Christopher Waller’s comments hinting at a possible July rate cut, but the optimism fizzled out quickly. Known for his dovish stance, Waller’s seen as a potential candidate to replace Fed Chair Powell next year.
Looking ahead, Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s twoday Congressional testimony next week is the big event. No surprises expected—just hours of “no rush to cut rates, waiting for data.”
