Musk announced on local time Friday, "Today, the formation of the 'America Party' restores your freedom," following Trump's signing of the "Big and Beautiful" bill.

After the Friday signing, Musk launched a poll on X about creating a new U.S. party, having previously voiced strong opposition to the bill, vowing to form a new party and spend to oust lawmakers supporting it.
