ADDX GO Market Morning Wrap - 11th July

Stock Market
U.S. stock markets closed higher on Thursday, July 10, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq reaching new highs.
At the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.43% to 44,650.64 points; the S&P 500 gained 0.27% to 6,280.46 points, surpassing last Thursday’s peak; and the Nasdaq Composite edged up 0.09% to 20,630.66 points, marking a second consecutive record high.
Major tech stocks showed mixed results, with Nvidia’s market cap closing above $4 trillion for the first time. Tesla surged 4.73%, with CEO Elon Musk hinting that its autonomous taxi service could expand to the San Francisco Bay Area within “one to two months.”

Currently, U.S. markets are navigating a web of conflicting risks, including tariffs, fiscal policy, and Federal Reserve outlooks.
Professional trader Tom Essaye noted that with the tariff scope unclear before August 1, a rate cut this month is “impossible,” and the delay also dims prospects for action in September. St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem warned of upside inflation risks but said it’s too early to assess lasting price impacts.
San Francisco Fed’s Mary Daly suggested tariffs’ price effects might be less than expected. Horizon Investment’s Mike Dickson remarked that despite tariff uncertainties, U.S. stocks remaining above year-start levels is “almost unbelievable,” attributing it to market numbness to erratic swings.
At the close, the “Fear & Greed Index” edged above 75 into the “extreme greed” zone, signaling traders’ disregard for trade worries.
