Samsung Display Is Rumored to Be Apple's First Foldable iPhone Screen
Samsung Display's folding screen technology has apparently won it a major order, as the company is said to produce crease-free displays for Apple's first foldable iPhone to be launched in 2026.
Samsung Display is a company that is completely independent of Samsung Electronics and supplies screens to multiple companies.
Samsung Display will reportedly start mass production of flexible foldable screens later this year to meet the needs of Apple's foldable iPhone launched in the summer of 2026.
Rumors that Apple will launch its first foldable iPhone (or named iPhone Flip) in 2026 have intensified, but reports on Tuesday indicated that Apple will not produce crease-free screens on its own. Well-known industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo pointed out that this move means that Apple trusts Samsung Display to "ensure stable mass production of foldable iPhones in 2026."
In a market where foldable phones are becoming increasingly popular, Apple is choosing to play it safe - and they must do the same. And Samsung Display, with its innovative technologies such as dual folding screens and even stretchable screens, is undoubtedly an ideal partner.
