On July 21, 2025, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, a restaurant named "Tesla Diner" officially opened to the public.  

 

Musk praised it on the X social media platform, calling it one of the coolest spots in Los Angeles!  

The building’s design blends retro American diner elements with futuristic tech aesthetics, creating a unique “time-warp” vibe—evoking the romance of 1950s American road culture while embodying Tesla’s vision of future living.  

 

One of the restaurant’s standout features is its immersive experience, seamlessly integrated with a drive-in theater.  

 

Customers can enjoy hot meals while watching movies from their cars, with a menu featuring classic American “comfort foods” like burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, and handcrafted milkshakes.  

 

Meals are delivered to car windows by Cybertruck-style delivery vehicles, adding a sci-fi flair. Even the burger and food packaging mimic the Tesla Cybertruck design.  

Serving your burger and milkshake is no longer a human waiter but Tesla’s humanoid robot Optimus.

 

This might be the first time in history that people can experience large-scale commercial service by general-purpose humanoid robots up close, bringing sci-fi movie scenes straight to your table.  

 

Adding to the futuristic feel, Tesla owners can order via in-car screens without leaving their vehicles, with movie soundtracks automatically syncing to Tesla’s audio system for a seamless car-restaurant connection.

 

For non-Tesla owners, the restaurant offers outdoor dining and walk-in ordering, ensuring everyone can taste this “future flavor.”  

 

Additionally, the restaurant features 80 Tesla Supercharger stations, making it a massive, efficient charging hub.

 

Here, dining isn’t just a “filler” during charging—charging becomes an essential part of the experience, redefining the concept of gas stations and service areas through a scenario-based approach.
