Mobileye Global Inc. reported strong financial results for the second quarter of 2025, with revenue reaching $506 million, marking a 15% increase year-over-year compared to Q2 2024. Despite this revenue growth, the company reported a net loss of $(67) million, which represents a 22% improvement from the net loss of $(86) million in the prior-year period. The reported revenue of $506 million exceeded the analyst estimate of $495.91 million, indicating a beat on revenue expectations, while the diluted EPS of $(0.08) was below the analyst estimate of $0.11.

Business Segment Performance

Revenue growth was broad-based, driven primarily by a 28% increase in EyeQ volumes, fueled by higher customer demand and the normalization of excess inventory. This was partially offset by lower SuperVision volumes on a year-over-year basis. Gross Margin improved by approximately 2 percentage points, reaching 50% in Q2 2025, mainly due to similar levels of amortization of intangible assets on a higher revenue base. Adjusted Gross Margin remained relatively flat at 69%, as the positive mix effect of higher EyeQ revenue was balanced by a slight reduction in EyeQ Average Selling Price (ASP) due to increased volumes in China.

Operational Efficiency and Strategic Progress

Operating Margin improved significantly from (21%) in Q2 2024 to (15%) in Q2 2025, attributed to higher Gross Margin and reduced operating expenses as a percentage of revenue. Adjusted Operating Income saw a 34% increase to $106 million, with Adjusted Operating Margin rising by 3 percentage points to 21%. The company highlighted continued progress on advanced product programs, including the Volkswagen Group collaborations, with the autonomous driving version of the ID.Buzz demonstrated in June, aiming for fully driverless deployments in the US by 2026. Mobileye's in-house designed imaging radar also secured its first design win in Q2, enabling highway-speed L3 eyes-off performance.

Management Outlook

Mobileye has updated its full-year 2025 revenue outlook to a range of $1,765 million to $1,885 million, representing 7% to 14% year-over-year revenue growth. This upward revision reflects a 4% increase at the midpoint compared to previous guidance, driven by an increased outlook for both EyeQ and SuperVision shipments and improved visibility into industry supply-demand dynamics. The company anticipates a decrease in GAAP Operating Loss and an increase in Adjusted Operating Income, attributing this to typical incremental margins on higher revenue and stable operating expense expectations. Management remains confident that upcoming product launches will significantly boost Mobileye's growth trajectory in 2027.
