Key Business Segment Performance

The Wholesale segment was a primary driver of growth, with net revenue increasing by 6.6% to 261.1 billion yen, and income before income taxes surging by 98.4% to 41.9 billion yen. This growth was supported by a 2.0% decrease in non-interest expenses within the segment. The Investment Management segment also saw a 6.1% increase in net revenue, reaching 50.6 billion yen, despite a 7.1% decrease in income before income taxes due to higher non-interest expenses.

Strategic Developments and Other Contributions

The newly established Banking Division on April 1, 2025, contributed a 14.4% increase in net revenue to 12.8 billion yen. However, this segment experienced a 10.4% decrease in income before income taxes. Furthermore, a significant gain was recorded in the 'Other Operating Results' category, with net revenue at 93.2 billion yen and income before income taxes at 54.6 billion yen. This was primarily attributed to profits from the sale of land and buildings in Takanawa 2-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo, in April 2025.
