Axon's Revenue Soars 33% on Strong Q2 Performance

Axon Enterprise, Inc. reported second-quarter 2025 revenue of $669 million, marking a 33% increase year-over-year. Net income for the quarter stood at $36 million, experiencing a 13% decrease compared to the prior year. The revenue figure surpassed the analyst estimate of $641.4 million, indicating a beat, while the reported diluted EPS of $0.44 significantly missed the analyst estimate of $1.54.

 

Software & Services and Connected Devices Performance

Software & Services revenue surged 39% year-over-year to $292 million, driven by increased adoption of premium digital evidence management solutions, real-time operations, virtual reality training, and productivity tools. This growth contributed to Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) expanding 39% to $1.2 billion. Net revenue retention rate improved to 124%, reflecting strong customer expansion.

Connected Devices revenue increased 29% year-over-year to $376 million. This growth was primarily fueled by robust demand across all major device lines, including a 19% rise in TASER revenue to $216 million, led by TASER 10. Personal Sensors revenue grew 24% to $93 million, supported by the adoption of Axon Body 4. Platform Solutions revenue saw an 86% increase to $67 million, driven by strong market demand for emerging products like counter-drone and VR training.

 

Management Outlook and Strategic Focus

Axon raised its full-year 2025 revenue outlook to a range of $2.65 billion to $2.73 billion, up from the prior guidance of $2.60 billion to $2.70 billion, representing approximately 29% growth at the midpoint. The company also increased its Adjusted EBITDA guidance for the full year to between $665 million and $685 million, targeting an Adjusted EBITDA margin of approximately 25%.

The company highlighted its focus on innovation, particularly in AI-driven solutions for law enforcement. A national survey conducted by Axon revealed that AI tools saved officers an average of 6 to 12 hours per week. Key findings from the survey indicated that only 14% of law enforcement agencies are fully staffed, and patrol officers spend nearly equal time on administrative tasks as on active policing, underscoring the potential for AI to enhance efficiency and address staffing shortages. Axon remains committed to responsible AI deployment, emphasizing the importance of training and maintaining a human role in final decision-making.
