Strong Vehicle Sales and Margin Expansion
Revenues from vehicle sales were a primary driver of the overall financial performance, totaling RMB16.88 billion (US$2.36 billion) in Q2 2025. This represents a 147.6% increase from Q2 2024 and a 17.5% increase from Q1 2025, primarily due to higher vehicle deliveries. Total deliveries for the quarter reached 103,181 units, up 241.6% year-over-year.
The company also demonstrated significant improvements in profitability, with the vehicle margin increasing to 14.3% in Q2 2025, up from 6.4% in Q2 2024 and 10.5% in Q1 2025. This 7.9 percentage points year-over-year increase and 3.8 percentage points quarter-over-quarter increase were mainly attributable to ongoing cost reduction efforts and an improved product mix. The overall gross margin also rose to 17.3%, a new historical high for XPENG.
