Salesforce (CRM.US) reported robust results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, surpassing analyst expectations for both revenue and non-GAAP EPS. The company posted second-quarter revenue of $10.2 billion, an increase of 10% year-over-year. Non-GAAP diluted net income per share reached $2.91, significantly exceeding the analyst estimate of $2.77. These strong figures underscore Salesforce’s continued growth trajectory and operational efficiency.

Strong Subscription & Support Revenue

The primary driver of Salesforce’s performance was its subscription and support revenue, which grew to $9.7 billion, marking an 11% year-over-year increase. This segment's growth was strong across various service offerings. Data Cloud and AI annual recurring revenue (ARR) also showed significant momentum, climbing 120% year-over-year to over $1.2 billion.

The company highlighted the increasing adoption of its AI-powered solutions, with Agentforce closing over 12,500 deals, of which more than 6,000 were paid. Furthermore, over 40% of Data Cloud and Agentforce Q2 bookings originated from existing customer expansion. The Service and Platform segments were integral to all top 10 deals closed in the quarter, demonstrating their foundational role in customer engagements.

Strategic Share Repurchase Program Expansion

Salesforce announced a substantial increase of $20.0 billion to its existing share repurchase program, bringing the total authorized for repurchases to $50.0 billion. This move reflects the company's confidence in its financial health and commitment to returning value to shareholders. In the second quarter alone, Salesforce returned $2.6 billion to shareholders, including $2.2 billion in share repurchases and $399 million in dividends.

Positive Management Outlook

Management provided optimistic guidance for the upcoming third quarter and raised the low end of its full-year fiscal 2026 revenue guidance. For Q3 FY26, Salesforce anticipates revenue between $10.24 billion and $10.29 billion, representing an 8% to 9% year-over-year increase. The full-year FY26 revenue guidance was updated to $41.1 billion to $41.3 billion, indicating an 8.5% to 9% year-over-year growth.

Salesforce also raised its non-GAAP operating margin guidance for the full year to 34.1%, underscoring its commitment to profitable growth. The company expects operating cash flow growth to be approximately 12% to 13% year-over-year for the full fiscal year. These projections signal continued financial strength and operational improvements for the fiscal year ahead.
