Tonight’s Highlights | US August PPI Below Expectations, Major Futures Indices Rise Collectively
Pre-market data shows that the US August Producer Price Index (PPI) rose 2.6% year-over-year, below the expected 3.3%, and fell 0.1% month-over-month, against an expected 0.3% increase.

The US August core PPI rose 2.8% year-over-year, below the expected 3.5%, and declined 0.1% month-over-month, against an expected 0.3% rise.
In the previous trading session, all three major US indices hit new closing highs, a first for the year.
Art Hogan, chief market strategist at B. Riley Wealth Management, said before the PPI data release that if the figures align with expectations, the Federal Reserve will likely cut rates again at its September meeting.
He added, “Inflation data in the coming days would need to be significantly higher than expected to shift the market consensus on a September rate cut.”

Microsoft posted a blog on September 9 stating that starting next year, employees will be required to work in the office at least three days a week.
Microsoft’s Chief People Officer Amy Coleman said the policy will roll out in three phases: first for employees in the Puget Sound region, then for other US office locations, and finally for international staff.

These are optimized for various workloads. Compared to the Amazon Graviton3, the Graviton4 offers a 30% performance boost, 50% more independent cores, and 75% higher memory bandwidth.

TSMC’s revenue report on September 10 showed August 2025 sales of 33.57 billion NTD, a 33.8% year-on-year increase and 3.9% month-on-month rise. Cumulative sales from January to August totaled 2.43 trillion NTD, up 37.1% year-on-year.
