U.S. Stock Market Top 20 by Trading Value: Google Faces Tougher UK Regulatory Scrutiny

Morgan Stanley, after meeting Nvidia’s management, maintained an “overweight” rating with a $210 target, noting Nvidia’s growing share in cloud capital expenditure.
Tesla, second in trading value, fell 5.06% to $413.49 with $45.39 billion traded, per the finance card above. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating 2.88 million FSD-equipped Tesla vehicles after over 50 traffic violation reports and multiple crashes.
NHTSA said FSD, despite requiring driver attention, “triggers traffic safety violations,” like running red lights or improper lane changes. The preliminary evaluation, a step toward a possible recall, covers 58 FSD-related safety reports, including 14 crashes and 23 injuries.
AMD, third in trading value, fell 7.72% to $214.90 with $25.386 billion traded, per the finance card above. Despite Friday’s chip sector drop, AMD gained over 30% this week after announcing a multi-billion-dollar deal with OpenAI to supply AI chips over four years, with OpenAI getting warrants to buy up to 10% of AMD at $0.01 per share—a direct challenge to Nvidia.
Moody’s upgraded AMD to A1 with a stable outlook.
Amazon, fourth in trading value, fell 4.99% to $216.37 with $15.427 billion traded, per the finance card above. Amazon will open its largest fulfillment center in the Pacific Northwest, a 3.8-million-square-foot facility near Portland, Oregon, four times the size of the nearby airport, equipped with advanced scanners, conveyors, and robots. Another large e-commerce hub is planned for Indiana, with 3,000 initial jobs at the Oregon site.
Palantir, eighth in trading value, fell 5.41% with $9.601 billion traded after four days of gains.
Broadcom, ninth in trading value, fell 5.91% with $9.434 billion traded amid the tech sell-off.
Alibaba, 11th in trading value, fell 8.45% to $159.01 with $8.021 billion traded, down 15.4% this week.
Google (GOOGL), 12th in trading value, fell 2.05% to $237.49 with $7.744 billion traded, per the finance card above (adjusted for Class A shares). Google faces stricter UK scrutiny, with the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) confirming its “strategic market status” in search services under new digital market rules.
TSMC, 14th in trading value, fell 6.41% to $280.66 with $6.521 billion traded. TSMC reported September sales of NT$330.98 billion, up 31.4% year-over-year but down 1.4% month-over-month, with Q3 revenue of NT$989.9 billion, beating estimates of NT$962.8 billion. Year-to-date sales hit NT$2.76 trillion, up 36.4%, driven by AI chip demand from Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom.
Coinbase Global, 17th in trading value, fell 7.75% with $6.214 billion traded. Coinbase and Mastercard are advancing acquisition talks for London-based stablecoin startup BVNK.
Robinhood Securities, 20th in trading value, fell 8.85% with $5.758 billion traded.
