Strong Segment Performance

The Surgical segment reported net sales of $1.4 billion, an increase of 6% on a reported basis compared to the third quarter of 2024. This growth was notably fueled by a 13% increase in Equipment/other net sales, driven by recent equipment launches including Unity VCS.

 

Vision Care net sales rose to $1.2 billion, an increase of 7% on a reported basis. This segment saw a 7% increase in Ocular health net sales, led by products for dry eye and glaucoma, such as Systane, Tryptyr, and Rocklatan, along with a 6% increase in Contact lenses net sales due to product innovation and price increases.

 

Management Outlook Maintained

Alcon's management maintained its full-year 2025 outlook, projecting net sales between $10.3 billion and $10.4 billion, representing a 4% to 5% constant currency growth. The company anticipates core operating margin to be between 19.5% and 20.5%.

 

The outlook for core diluted EPS remains in the range of $3.05 to $3.15. Management expects to fully offset the estimated $100 million gross tariff impact through foreign exchange movements and operational actions.
