Monday pre-market, U.S. three major index futures mixed.

As of publication, Dow futures down 0.03%, S&P 500 futures down 0.05%, Nasdaq 100 futures up 0.05%.

Google up nearly 4% pre-market — "Oracle of Omaha" Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway established a new position in Google in Q3, ranking as its 10th largest holding.

Nvidia down 1% — weekend filings revealed billionaire Peter Thiel sold his entire Nvidia stake.

Micron up over 1% — earlier reports said Samsung raised certain memory chip prices 30%-60% from September.

Last week, Dow rose 0.34% cumulatively, but Nasdaq fell 0.45%. Fundstrat head of research Tom Lee wrote: "We expected the first two weeks of November to be choppy, and indeed we are in choppiness now."

"While some worries like the government shutdown and NYC mayoral election are resolved, others remain. Still, we expect the volatility to eventually resolve into a rebound, pushing the S&P up ~200 points and breaking above 7,000."

Later this week, Nvidia reports quarterly earnings — widely seen as one of the most important catalysts for the remainder of 2025. Despite the S&P up ~14% YTD, AI bubble concerns continue to linger.

Thursday, U.S. Labor Department releases September nonfarm payrolls — highly significant for the Fed. Due to prior data gaps, rates traders now see only ~44% chance of a December cut.

European stocks mostly lower in session: Germany DAX down 0.71%, UK FTSE 100 down 0.23%, France CAC 40 down 0.49%.
