NetEase (NTES.US) reported strong financial results for Q3 2025, with non-GAAP net income attributable to shareholders reaching RMB9.5 billion (US$1.3 billion). This represents a 26.7% increase compared to the same quarter in 2024. The company's total net revenues for the quarter were RMB28.4 billion (US$4.0 billion), marking an 8.2% year-over-year increase and exceeding analyst revenue estimates of US$4.06 billion. Non-GAAP basic net income per ADS was US$2.09, surpassing the analyst EPS estimate of US$2.08.

Robust Games and Related Services Growth

Net revenues from games and related value-added services were a primary driver of the company's performance, reaching RMB23.3 billion (US$3.3 billion) in Q3 2025. This segment saw an 11.8% increase year-over-year, largely due to strong engagement with established titles like Fantasy Westward Journey Online, which achieved record peak concurrent player counts. The quarter-over-quarter increase in online games net revenues was also attributed to self-developed games such as Fantasy Westward Journey Online and Sword of Justice, as well as certain licensed games.

New game launches and updates also contributed significantly to this growth. Destiny: Rising topped iOS download charts in multiple regions, and Blizzard titles continued to enhance experiences for Chinese players with the launch of the China-exclusive Titan Reforged Server for World of Warcraft. Additionally, Diablo II: Resurrected and StarCraft II returned to China, with Diablo IV scheduled for a December launch, further strengthening NetEase's global portfolio.

Strategic Global Expansion and Innovation

Management highlighted the company's strong long-term operating capabilities and rising global appeal, emphasizing its innovation in delivering exceptional gaming experiences. NetEase is extending its distinctive games to players worldwide, evidenced by the global launches of Sword of Justice and Where Winds Meet. The company also showcased ANANTA at Tokyo Games Show 2025, sparking substantial enthusiasm, and Sea of Remnants is advancing towards its planned 2026 launch.

NetEase is focused on user experience and aims to raise the bar for creativity and tech-inspired games. The company plans to enrich and expand its vibrant player community through close collaboration with partners and top talent globally. This strategy is expected to sustain its momentum across various markets and create greater value for players.
