U.S. equity futures climbed nearly 1% across the board as reports surfaced that the conflict in the Middle East may be approaching a resolution, offering a reprieve to global markets. European benchmarks followed suit, trading firmly in positive territory during the early session.
According to media reports, President Trump has informed advisors of his willingness to conclude military operations in the region, even if the Strait of Hormuz remains largely restricted. This follows a mixed session on Wall Street where the S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed lower, while the Dow managed a marginal gain.
Tuesday marks the final trading day of March, a brutal month that has seen the S&P 500 retreat 7.8% thus far. If sustained, this would represent the benchmark's worst monthly performance since September 2022. Despite the morning's optimistic tone in equities, Brent crude remains elevated, trading above $107 per barrel.
"The recent pullback may be a classic market 'reset' rather than an anomaly," noted Art Hogan, Chief Market Strategist at B. Riley Wealth Management. "Long-term investors should remember that 10% corrections are normal and occur, on average, every two years. Volatility is the price one pays for higher long-term returns."

Volvo Cars Increases Polestar Stake via Debt-to-Equity Swap
