The fund seeks opportunities in undervalued markets, sectors, and securities with potential for credit upgrades, unique structures, or innovative features. Its global claim includes up to 40% of exposure to emerging markets, with most foreign currency exposure hedged through derivatives such as forwards, futures, and swaps. The fund primarily invests in investment-grade securities but may hold up to 25% in high-yield bonds rated no lower than B or unrated equivalents. BGFI selects constituents by utilizing fundamental economic research and quantitative analysis, and by actively trades sectors and securities without limits on turnover, maturity, or duration.
