The corporation leverages a broad distribution network to reach its customers, utilizing channels such as mass merchandisers, online retailers, discount stores, grocery and variety chains, warehouse clubs, hardware and specialty stores, independent office product dealers, office superstores, wholesalers, contract stationers, and technology-focused businesses. ACCO Brands also facilitates direct sales to commercial and consumer end-users via its e-commerce platforms and internal sales force. The company was founded in 1893 and is headquartered in Lake Zurich, Illinois.
