Its fundamental objective is to mirror the value of its underlying Bitcoin holdings, net of operational costs and other obligations. Bitcoin is defined as a digital asset, brought into existence and transferred across the decentralized, peer-to-peer Bitcoin Network, a system of computers governed by cryptographic protocols.
