The broad life science field includes biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical diagnostics and devices, healthcare services and technologies, and synthetic biology. Stock selection employs an extensive 10-step research process that includes reviews of publicly available and third-party information, peer reviews, financial and valuation models, internal research, surveys, as well as interviews and contact with management, industry and medical professionals, supply chain, and collaboration within the investment team. The fund may invest up to 20% in foreign companies listed on a US exchange.
