CLCV invests in large-cap US companies considered undervalued with good prospects for capital appreciation. The fund combines fundamental and quantitative analysis to select companies with strong earnings or revenue growth potential, using multi-factor models that assess valuation, financial strength, growth prospects, competitive position, earnings, cash flows, dividends, and sustainable business practices. Using third-party data, the value-based screen limits companies with significant involvement in alcohol, tobacco, alternative smoking products, gambling, abortions, stem cell research, adult entertainment, psychoactive recreational cannabis, or related products. Additionally, the actively managed fund employs risk management techniques to establish constraints on individual securities and sectors.
