Adhering to the guidelines set by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), SPUS ensures all investments align with Islamic ethical principles. Tracking the S&P 500 Sharia Industry Exclusions Index SPUS tracks the performance of approximately 200 stocks from the S&P 500 Index that meet stringent Sharia-compliance criteria. This index includes companies with robust financial health, characterized by low leverage and debt to market capitalization ratios below 30%.
