The index's construction commences with over 400 companies recognized by the ACSI, encompassing 46 different industries and 10 major economic sectors. This preliminary group is then filtered to exclude companies whose shares are not predominantly listed on a U.S. exchange, have a market valuation under $1 billion, or for which the available Customer Satisfaction Data is not statistically meaningful.
